Cedar Corporation developed a corrective action plan for the contamination
on this site from a manufactured gas plant, which required reconstruction
of the riverbank. The project required removal of 15,000 yards of
contaminated soils and demolition of two buildings used for the
manufactured gas plant. The soil removal included excavating to
the river elevations (over 20 feet deep in places) and the entire
reconstruction of this point of land. The project also included
development of an access trail.
