Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center in Freedom Park, Prescott

Seven years of planning went into this $2 million improvement project in Freedom Park. The park is located along the Great River Road - Highway 35, on a bluff above the Mississippi River Valley in Prescott, Wisconsin.

Features of the new Visitor & Learning Center include historic, interactive exhibits; a multi-purpose meeting room; and an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers, wildlife habitat, eagles, and other birds and wildlife.

New park amenities include walking trails, an outdoor amphitheater, scenic overlooks, a picnic pavilion, gazebo, gardens, and play areas. Click here for additional photos.
